I have been preparing for an about one year for this exam and want to share with you my observations and what should be done from my point of view in order to succeed.
Let’s start with what actually telc Deutsch C1 is:
telc Deutsch C1 tests general German language skills at an advanced level. The exam is aimed at adults who need German in their social and professional lives or for their studies.
By saying that there is not only one telc Deutsch C1 exam. Apart from telc Deutsch C1, those are telc Deutsch C1 Beruf and telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule.
telc Deutsch C1 Beruf: telc Deutsch C1 Beruf tests general and job-related German language skills at a very advanced level. The exam is aimed at applicants for professions that require excellent German language skills.
telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule: telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule tests university-related German language skills at a very advanced level. The examination is aimed at adults who wish to study at a German-speaking university, who are already studying or working in an academic profession and who would like to prove their German language skills.
As you may aware of, you need to select the exam which suits your circumstances best. In my case, I wanted to prove my general German knowledge at C1 level. Therefore I choosed telc Deutsch C1.
After summarizing the general concept, I suggest to attend a german course for a steady improvement. If you would think to be succeed without a german course, I would say it is very hard unless you speak German daily or you have deep German knowledge background with speaking and writing.
Based on where you live either in Germany and abroad, you need to search for a language course. From my experiences, to find a language course in Germany is not find at all. Just search for a one which is located at where you live in. I suggest again official website from German government which could be found in the following.

Abroad I think you might not have many chances like in Germany. As far as I know, Goethe Institute should be found in almost any countries but of course you need to check in this case that the institute is actually being found in your country.
After selecting your course and starting it hopefully soon, you should be prepared that it takes app. around 9 months. It might sound long, actually it is but there are lots of topics which need to be covered, it is better to take time and attend the course regularly. I might say that even going to language course after work seem to be daunting, it helped me much in the end.
If we examine the content of the exam
